BMW X3 Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) rules the rough terrain and grabs everybody's attention while moving on city roads. BMW X3 Series comes with two engine options. The DOHC 3.0-Liter gasoline engine, in 3.0si, churns out a power of 260 hp @ 6600 rpm and a peak torque of 225 Nm @ 2750 rpm. On the other hand, the 2.5si variant is powered by 2.5L petrol engine, which delivers a power of 218 PS @ 6500 rpm and a maximum torque of 250 Nm @ 2750-4250 rpm. The Digital Motor Electronics (DME) monitors and manages the key functions of both the engines.
Agility, style and dynamism of the powerful engines of BMW X3 Series are reflected in the exteriors of the cars as well. Elegance is the underlying factor of the powerful bonnet and the distinctive rear portion. While its frontage gets a double-kidney shaped radiator grille, body-colored front bumper - with integrated fog lights and dazzling headlamps, the rear end is beautified by unique taillights cluster. The four-door SAV comes with elevated seats, providing utmost comfort and luxury to its occupants.
The spacious interiors of BMW X3 Series are designed with special attention to minutest details of the cabin. Space becomes the topmost priority in the SAV. However, luxury has not been compromised. From the instrument panel and sleek wood trims to the seats, magnificence is reflected in every element of the cabin. Dashboard gets a sleek wooden finish, which is extended to the central console. Upholstered in finest Nevada leather, the elevated seats come with lumbar support, providing extra comfort for passengers.
The next-generation Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) of BMW X3 SAV constantly monitors wheel rotation and lateral acceleration. The system gives optimum traction, thereby improving the stability of the automobile. Superior driving comfort is experienced on all roads, when it comes to the X3 SAV. Its unique X-Drive system automatically adapts to the terrain. Maximum traction is guaranteed even on critical road conditions, such as slippery surfaces and rough terrain.
Safety belts of BMW X3 SAV are fitted with force limiters and tensioners, which provide great restraint in the event of a collision. Rear seat occupants are protected by headrests and automatic seatbelts. The comprehensive safety program of BMW X3 also includes airbag system. Impact Depending System inflates the airbags to the correct degree, in the event of collision. Hill Descent Control (HDC), Dynamic Traction Control (DTC) and Cornering Brake Control (CBC) are among the standard safety features of BMW X3 Sports Activity Vehicle.
There are two variants of BMW X3 Sports Activity Vehicle - 3.0si and 2.5si. The car comes with a price tag of Rs 41 lakh (approx). It is available in many dazzling colors, including Monaco Blue, Black Sapphire, Alpine White, Silver Grey, Platinum Bronze and Titanium Silver.
