Hamann's Widebody BMW X6 Tycoon

BMW X6 Hamann TycoonHamann Motorsport's latest creation is the X6 Tycoon, a widebody conversion for BMW's sporty crossover. While eye-catching, the X6 is no beauty and Hamann's aero kit that broaden the body by 60 mm does nothing to change this. However, the aerodynamic add-ons that include a front apron with large air inlets and LED daytime running lights, a three-part rear diffuser, side skirts, and rear and roof spoilers along with the 23-inch alloy wheels with tires sized 315/25, give the bimmer a more aggressive and distinct look.

For the interior, Hamann offers a variety of accessories such as aluminum pedals, a 12-part decoration set made of carbon fibre, an instrument dial with a scaling up to 300 km/h and a 3-spoke sport steering wheel.

As with any other tuning project, Hamann has developed several performance kits for the X6 Tycoon. The xDrive35i delivers an output of 360 hp at 5230 rpm while the maximum torque rises by 140 Nm to 540 Nm in the rpm-range between 1300 and 5000. At the same time, Hamann also raises the speed limit from 250 km/h to 275 km/h (168 mph). Engine performance kits for the xDrive50i are already in the final stages of the development process.

The X6 diesel series also profits from extra power with the xDrive30d producing 265 HP and 600 Nm while the xDrive35d delivers 320HP and a 660 Nm of torque at 2000 rpm out of the Diesel car.

Official BMW X6 M Video Confirms Production Version, Power to come from Twin-Turbo V8

BMW has confirmed through a new teaser video - to be exact, in the description of the video- that the forthcoming X5 M (see the teaser film of the prototype model here) will be joined by an X6 M model that will be introduced later in the year. In this latest video, for the first time BMW reveals that both the X5 and X6 M will share a new 'M' prepped twin-scroll turbocharged V8 engine combined with a rear-wheel biased all-wheel drive system.

Up until now, the most powerful variants of the X5 and X6 models are equipped with BMW's new 408HP 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine, something that leads us to believe that the 'M' variant of the V8 will deliver an output well over the 500HP mark. Our sources state that BMW will also use this engine on the next generation M5 and M6 models.

BMW X6 xDrive35d White Shark with 340HP by MCCHIP

MCCHIP has introduced a new tuning package for BMW's controversially styled X6 SAV. The kit concerns the xDrive35d or in other words, the twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter diesel version. With MCCHIP's software upgrades the inline-6 turbo diesel engine delivers 340HP and 660 Nm, up from the standard car's 286HP and 580 Nm. This enables the X6 xDrive35d to boost the maximum speed from 238 to 251 km/h. The engine kit is complemented by an H&R suspension system that lowers the X6's ride height by40mm up front and 30mm in the back, and a set of 21-inch black alloy wheels. Prices for the upgrades have been set in Germany at 849 for the ECU and at 1,266 for the suspension kit, alloy wheels and the dark chrome BMW kidney grille.
